About Me
You do not arrive at this kind of work by accident. Not if you stay in it for thirty-nine years. Not if you do it honestly.
Origin
I was born in Trinidad and Tobago in 1965, two months premature, weighing four pounds. The doctors gave me a ten per cent chance of survival and told my mother not to get attached. She was twenty years old. She had lost a child the year before. She refused to listen to them. She held me. She touched me. She willed me into life.
When I was four, we immigrated to Canada. I was a sensitive, undersized, sickly child — until my family sent me back to Trinidad to spend two years with my grandmother. She was a shaman, an herbalist, and a Shango priest. She bathed me in herbs. She made me drink bush teas. She gave me bush baths. She transformed me from a frail child into a healthy one.
I watched her work. I watched her use her hands and her knowledge and her connection to the spirit world to help people. I did not fully understand what I was seeing. But it formed me. Everything I do today traces back to those two years.
LINEAGE AND TRAINING
Ten generations of herbalists in my family. That is not a credential I earned. It is something I was born into, something I questioned, and something I returned to with clarity.
I have been practising herbal work since 1986. I began learning African Sacred Healing Touch at eighteen, guided by mentors who carried the same traditions. Over the decades I have also studied Traditional Chinese herbal practices and Western herbal approaches — not to replace what I know, but to understand how different systems approach the same human body.
I am a Registered Herbalist (RH) with the American Herbalists Guild.
How I Work
I do not work from templates. I do not hand people a standard list and send them on their way.
Every person I sit with brings a different history, a different body, a different set of patterns. What I do is listen carefully, ask the right questions, and build a customised protocol based on what I learn. Then we adjust over time, because the body changes and the work must change with it.
This is not fast work. It is not passive work. It requires honesty from both of us and commitment from you. If you are looking for something quick, I am not the right fit. If you are looking for something real, we may have something to talk about.
My Philosophy
I do not see people as problems to be solved. I see living systems that are responsive, adaptive, and communicating constantly — whether anyone is paying attention or not.
Your patterns matter. Your habits matter. What you do every day matters more than what you do in a crisis. The body does not lie and it does not forget. My job is to help you understand what it is telling you and to build a plan that supports what it needs.
This work has shaped me as much as I have shaped it. Thirty-nine years in, I am still learning. That is how I know the work is real.
